Description

Cherry. Nutmeg | Pineapple

Hacienda Sonora in the Central Valley region of Costa Rica is a mid-sized farm (100 hectares) that specializes in Honey and Natural processed coffees. This is a very unique farm as most coffee produced in Costa Rica is done with the washed process. We are really excited about this particular coffee, it is a farm-level blend of both natural processed and black honey processed coffees. Their intention was to create an exceptional single-origin espresso, though its pretty awesome as a drip coffee too. The coffee is bursting with fruit flavors such as pineapple, kiwi, cherry, strawberry, and blackberry, this gives it an over-all fruit punch flavor which is really nice. The medium acidity nicely balances the fruited sweetness, and there is a nice low note of baking spices (mostly nutmeg). This is our first lot with Hacienda Sonora, we are hoping to bring in an exclusive lot from the farm next year.
