Description

Raisin. Roasted almond | Smokey

The region of Huila, Colombia has been producing some of the best coffee in the country in recent years. I am happy to offer this solid regional blend as a dark roast. I am very picky about what coffees eventually get dark roast treatment. Many coffees will turn ashy and lose body at this level. This coffee maintains its original characteristics while displaying the smokey, bittersweet flavors that are imparted by the roasting process. The bright fruity elements of the coffee are mellowed into sweet, dried fruit (such as raisins and dates). There are also strong notes of dark warming spices such as cloves and cinnamon. This is a rich and complex coffee that is great both straight and with cream and sugar.
